Terms of Service

These terms cover how Pounce works and what you can expect from us (and what we expect from you). We've kept them as short and plain as possible.

What Pounce is

Pounce is a deal discovery service. We connect to your email (read-only) — Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, and any IMAP provider — scan promotional emails, and surface the best deals in your Pounce summary. That's the deal.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pounce. By signing up, you confirm you're old enough and have the legal authority to agree to these terms.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Don't share your login.
• You can only have one account per person. Creating duplicate accounts to abuse free tier limits is not allowed.
• You must provide accurate information when signing up.

Email access

When you connect your email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, or any IMAP provider), you grant Pounce read-only access to your inbox. We use this access only to identify promotional emails and extract deal information. We will never:

• Send emails from your account
• Delete or archive emails
• Access emails outside of promotional/commercial categories
• Share your email contents with third parties for advertising

You can revoke this access at any time through your email provider's account settings.

Free and paid plans

Pounce offers a Free tier that is free forever, and a Pro tier at $2.99/month with expanded features. Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You can cancel anytime — your access continues through the end of the billing period, and we don't charge cancellation fees.

We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

What you can and can't do

Using Pounce, you agree not to:

• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract our deal data at scale
• Use Pounce for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Create accounts programmatically or use automated scripts to access the service
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Our content and yours

Deal data surfaced by Pounce is sourced from third-party promotional emails. We curate and organize it, but we're not the merchant — deals are between you and the retailer. We make no guarantees that any deal is still available, accurately priced, or free of errors. Always verify before you buy.

Your data stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your email content or personal information.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but we're not promising 100%. Pounce is provided "as is." We may update, change, or temporarily pause the service — we'll give you reasonable notice for anything significant.

Termination

You can close your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund any unused portion of a prepaid plan.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pounce's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Disputes

If you have a problem, email us first — most issues get resolved quickly. If we can't work it out, disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, and you agree to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delaware.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use Pounce after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
